Rotary Club of Birstall Luddites
Evening with Karen Clegg.
"My Musical Journey"
On Saturday 28th Feb at the Batley Community Centre the club shared a wonderful evening of entertainment in the company of the fabulous Karen Clegg as we listened to her 'Musical Journey' through word and song.
Karen talked of her acting in Doctor Who, Casualty, and Out of Sight. She has sung in many West End musicals, including Cats, 42nd Street and many others.
The event was organised by Rotarian Jeremy Parkinson to raise money for The Kirkwood and, going by the audience reaction, was a great success! In total we raised £1,054, with £400 coming from the raffle, the prizes having been donated by Tesco Batley who are great supporters of many our fundraising efforts.
A huge thank you to everyone who came and supported this event at Batley Community Centre
