Birstall Luddites Rotary Club
Fairfield School Platinum Jubilee open day
On Thursday 26th May Luddites were invited to attend Fairfield Schools Queens Platinum Jubilee
Open Day garden party celebrations.
Although the weather was unkind with rain and drizzle, Luddites were able to walk through the
new sculptured and designed grounds. The school pupils manned the stalls and demos and the
Spen Valley School choir sang in the background.
Helen was able to meet up with her old pupils and staff.
We finished by having coffee and cakes in the outside cafe and left after enjoying seeing the open day celebrations.
The event was also shown on BBC Look North.
As we know it is difficult to take photos at the school but
see all the picture of pupils and staff on the school Twitter pages
also on the School Facebook Fundraising pages
Below Colin, Christine, Peter, Helen and Jeff.
