Monday April 10th venue Healds Hall Hotel, 86 Rotarians including the DG Robert Morphet,  partners, friends and Probus members met to enjoy an evening organised by Birstall Luddite Rotarian
Robert Jackson to fund raise to support End Polio Now.
A Special Show by two members of the Magic Circle Orlando and Mike was enjoyed after the
three course meal.
DG Robert Morphet gave his support for the event and explained his next role in the
"End Polio Now" fund Raising.
He is to run the Edinburgh Marathon in aid of "End Polio Now" and estimates this will mean 50k steps.
His plan is to raise a pound for every step of the run.
Roberts Magic Away Polio evening raised with the raffle £715, this sum multiplied by Bill Gates help brings the total raised to £2145.
The Rotary Club of Leeds also made a contribution to the evenings fund raising with £670 presented by Rotarian Anita Rayner from the Leeds club Anita is also District Foundation Chairman.
This money is to be forward to DG Roberts marathon event and will sponsor 2752 of his steps in the
Edinburgh marathon.
