Fundraising 2024
Every year our club members at Bideford Bridge Rotary Club are always looking for new, innovative fundraising ideas that will appeal to all age ranges and most of all offer value for money to visitors and members of our local community.
So how does a club approach such a task. Mainly with enthusiasm and determination to do the right thing. Our club is very lucky to have members with wide interests and hobbies one of which is classic cars. To run a charity classic car event takes effort to organise with very specific models of vehicles that can be entered therefore the challenge became how we expand this to be inclusive to all types of vehicles and therefore the Festival of Transport idea was born. This event was a collaboration between North Devon Sports & Classic Car Club and Bideford Bridge Rotary Club.
The North Devon Festival of Transport 2024 event, (11thAugust 2024) proved to be a successful attraction last weekend, with local visitors and exhibitors alike. Well over 2000 visitors joined us in Victoria park to help raise £13,500 for local charities and headline charities, Royal Devon Hospitals Charity and Exmoor Search & Rescue.
Our many thanks to all the visitors, exhibitors and local company sponsors that made this event possible.
Our club’s next fundraising event is a charity golf event at Royal North Devon Golf Club Saturday 31st August.
