Mike Ward of the Kent Messenger Charity Team
The Kent Messenger Charity Team provide support for many projects in Kent specifically aimed at schools and young adults. RC Strood has already been involved with the Buster Book Club in past years and we would like to continue that interest with our involvement with their Environment Projects. This would bring us in line with the Rotary Area for Care of the Environment.
Mike Ward will tell us about the initiatives that they are involved with and where we could join them.

President Hazel assisted by her granddaughter Isabelle has delivered 50 bags for children to St Nicholas in Strood. They will be sent out to families in need over the next few days. The Reverend David Green sends his thanks to Strood Rotary.

The last annual Quiz was held on 23 February 2019 at Shorne Village Hall where hundreds of pounds was raised for charitable causes. In honour of our quiz setter who died recently we are renaming the trophy the Denis Elvy Cup.
