About us

Welcome to Strood Rotary

The Rotary Club of Strood was formed in 1974.  We are a group of men and women with a desire to contribute to society and who have fun along the way.

Our Club members' ages range from the thirties to the eighties, and we are always looking to extend a warm welcome to all.  We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday evenings at the Bridgewood Manor Hotel in Walderslade Woods and enjoy a relaxed meal, guest speakers and entertainment as well as discussion planning our projects or activities. On 2nd and 4th Thursdays we gather at a pub or restaurant, purely for a social. Yes, it sounds like we do  lot of eating, but it is optional.

We have a contact Rotary club at Taverny-Beauchamp-Francoville on the outskirts of Paris with whom we enjoy an annual get-together and an informal contact with a club in Blouberg, Cape Town, South Africa.

We fund raise through various activities including Quiz’s, local events, Pig Racing, festivals and running beer tents and support local and international projects and causes.
