Devoted Litter Pickers Recognised
Recognition as Environmental Champions
It was with great delight that Hythe & Waterside Rotary discovered that they had been nominated for an Environmental Champion award from Hythe & Dibden Parish Council. In recognition of the regular litter-picks carried out by H&W Rotary and their team of supporters around the Waterside area, they were presented with a certificate at the recent Hythe of Activity Day, an event where local charities and organisations are given the opportunity to showcase the work they do in the local community.
The certificate was presented by the Chairman of the Parish Council, Cllr Sean Cullen
H&W Rotary President, Ian Wheeler, said "We are so proud to have been nominated and recognised in this way. We are often joined by local people who wish to support us with our litter-picks, so this award is as much for them as for us. Thank you".
