Despite it being one of the hottest days of the year, 80 walkers took part in this year's Charity Walk at Beaulieu organised and run by Hythe & Waterside Rotary. Some walked to raise funds for their own charities or good causes and others walked for pleasure, enjoying parts of the Beaulieu Estate not normally made accessible to the public.
Children took part in the “Bug Hunt” competition, and everyone enjoyed refreshments in the Tree House, ably provided by Hythe & District Inner Wheel, after having received their medals for completing the walk.
Bug Hunt winners were Beatrice Lewis (1st), Theodore Lewis (2nd), and Ruby Marsden (3rd). They were presented with gold, silver and bronze medals by President Terri Whitehouse.
President Terri said "What a great success the day has been. We have had such positive feedback from all the participants, we are delighted that H&W Rotary were able to provide such an enjoyable afternoon for everyone".
