A Purple Christmas
The Hythe Mistletoe Fair had a purple touch again this year thanks to Hythe & Waterside Rotary who had a display of items for sale from the Purple Community Fund (PCF).
Local people showed great interest in the items on display which showed how their donations of ring-pulls from drinks cans help the PCG to support poverty stricken families in the Philippines to lead financially independent lives.
The upcycled materials are turned into a variety of goods including bags, purses, jewellery and delightful Christmas tree decorations. The display attracted a lot of attention and over £308 worth of goods were sold.
