Concert for Ukraine
A Blues, Jazz and Swing Concert for Ukraine took place at Exbury Club, thanks to Hythe & Waterside Rotary, led by Rotarian and professional musician Tony Carter.
Tony arranged for three bands to take part (Clarinet Marmalade, Swingworld Big Band and Sunflower), all of whom gave their time free to help raise funds for Rotary Ukraine, which uses the worldwide Rotary network to ensure 100% of all money raised is used to support those caught up in the conflict.
Exbury Club gave their venue free of charge to enable over 100 people to attend a fantastic musical afternoon, bringing along their chairs and picnics to sit in the sunshine and enjoy the music.
Ticket sales and a tombola raised a total of £1,953.00, which H&W Rotary will make up to a donation of £2,000.00 for Rotary Ukraine.
