Hythe Rotary supports Waterside Cancer Support Centre
On a sunny July day Kate Martin of Radio Solent opened the newly extended Cancer Trust Support Suite at the Grove Hythe. Hythe Rotary President Peter Shawyer presented a cheque for £ 1250 to Cait Allen CEO and Val Freeman manager of Wessex Cancer Trust. The money was raised during a Fashion Show Extravaganza at Beaulieu Motor museum organised by Rotarian Ralph Ellis. Peter said “It was a privilege to support a local worthwhile cause; it was gratifying to see so many supporters present to view the new complex”. The Town Crier made all the announcements and entertainment was provided by the Wessex Cancer Trust singers followed by delicious scones & cream.
