On Saturday, 18 th May, the Rotary club of Alton held a charity walk
around Anstey Park, Froyle and Holybourne.

Organized and run on the day by Alton Rotarian Tanya Applegath, the
events featured a family short walk at 5.30 pm, followed by a twilight
yomp starting between 7.30 – 8.00 pm, finishing in the dark at close to
l0.00 pm,

Approximately 50 people joined in the walks which were marshalled at
various points by Alton Rotary club members with support from Four
Marks and Medstead Rotary club. Specsavers kindly provided bottles of
water for all walkers.

Everyone completed the 5.1/2 mile course in good time and returned to
the British Legion club house and enjoyed a well earned drink.

The walks produced a profit of £300 which will be donated to The King’s
Arms Young Carers and the Alton Royal British Legion.
