Discover the extraordinary journey of Pooyan Mehrshahi, native of Iran now Pastor of Providence Baptist Chapel, Cheltenham. From his life in Iran with Zoroastrian roots, this is a unique chance to explore diverse cultures and faiths!
Pooyan Mehrshahi is a native of Iran, and was brought up as a Zoroastrian, which was his family religion for thousands of years. Yet he studied at an Islamic school! In interesting circumstances and ways, he is the pastor of Providence Baptist Chapel, Cheltenham. He is leading the Persian Bible translation project, and has already published the translation of the New Testament from the Greek manuscripts. He is also the chairman of Parsa Trust, translating, publishing and distributing Persian Christian resources for Iranians and Afghans. He is married with four children.

Donation to Gloucester Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS) for additional support required due to pressures of the coronavirus lockdown. GDASS’s aim is to reduce level of domestic abuse and improve safety of victims and their families.

Rotary@Kingsholm has discovered that Gloucester City as only 3 accessible defibrillators. This is the lowest number in the country. A new defibrillator costs about £2200. Our aim during the next 12 months is to raise enough money to double that number.

Longfield Hospice provides end of life support at home to reduce the demand on NHS beds. Recognising how It is vital that the hospice continues its work to help vulnerable people in need, we were happy to make a donation to their funds.
