District Quiz 2015
Soham Rotary Club hosted 11 club teams from District for the final of this years District Quiz.
The Clubs involved were Aylesham, Brandon & District, Diss & District, Ely Hereward, Great Yarmouth HAven, Haverhill & District, High Suffolk, Ipswich East, Norwich Blackfriars, Norwich Centenary and Swaffham.
The teams of 6 did battle and exercised their grey matter over 8 rounds of questions.
Defending champions, Swaffham Club, successfully regained the title for this year - congratulations to them.Runners Up were High Suffolk Club followed closely behind by Brandon & District.
In the absence of DG Nick - ADG Robert Lovick presented Swaffham with the trophy.
Many thanks go to Soham Rtns Peter Holmes and Stuart Cavanagh for organising the event and to the Soham Rangers Football Club for use of the venue and supplying the buffet. Not forgetting Soham Club members who helped with the running of the evenings event
A raffle on the night in aid of End Polio Now raised over £400 which will hopefully be boosted to over £1200 through the Gates Foundation support.
We hope all who took part enjoyed the event and hopefully in 2016, more teams from District will express an interest in taking part in the event.
