Wed, Nov 27th 2013 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Hon Rotarian Martin Heath will be joining the Club during his return visit from Kenya - Martin will give an update on the medical project the Club is supporting and his general progress.

The Club enjoyed another update fron Hon Member Martin and his 5 year rolling mission along with his wife Judy among the people of the Shimba Hills in Kenya.

Agricultural developments and progress since his last visit to us were elequently described along with both joyous and harrowing elements of medical support they provide.

After a short UK trip to see their family and friends, Martin & Judy will return to Africa to embark on the next stage of their development programme for the villlage and surrounding area they have mad etheir home.

Pete Rodgers also attended the meeting as a guest of Stuart Cavanagh. Pete has been very supportive of Matin & Judy's efforts and has coordinated local fundraising in the Soham area to support the project plus has visited the Shimba Hills area.

The Soham Club is finalising a District Grant which will enable further support for Martin & Judy in the early spring next year. This will also align with the Club's Race night in Febuaury, the main proceeds of this will also go to the project - well done to Chris Whipp for coordinating this with District.

Graham Smith proposed the vote of thanks
