Moncrieff Hill
Meet in car park at northern entrance at 2 pm. O/S 132209
Moncrieff Hill sits just east of the M90 and A912 between Bridge of Eam and Perth.
For the northern entrance to the main car park, turn off the A912 east by the M90 motorway ramp onto Rynd Road. Follow minor road for approx. I mile and car park is on right.
Woodland walk with some ascent up hardcore paths. Broadleaf and Douglas Fir trees, some very old. Good views to north of Perth and south towards the Lomonds. Two hill forts about 2,000 years old. Battle of the Picts in AD 728.
Tea at Jamesfield Garden Centre between Abernethy and Newburgh.
