Applications have been submitted for the District ‘Lockdown Grants’. However both have been significantly oversubscribed by clubs and major caps have therefore been placed on the money actually available. District will announce their final grant allocations on 18th May.
We have collected £353 to date for the Charitable Account from Rotary meals not taken during the lockdown.
The Club Account currently has a credit balance of £1,246, largely due to the Bottle Raffle.
Libby continues to make cloth facemasks to order in support of Susan Morrison’s charity appeal. These facemasks can be ordered by text or email (Libby’s contact details are available from the members’ only section of the club website).
Don Allan is allocating an old iPad of his to another member to enable them to participate in these Zoom meetings: although obsolete, it is perfectly able to support these meetings. If other members are struggling with the technology, Andre is able to assist them in configuration and related issues.
Using the facilities of Zoom, James proposed a joint meeting with the Rotary Club of Cortana, Italy, with whom he has a close association. Scatter events could not be easier!

Many local events have been adversely affected by COVID-19 restrictions. The Fife Open Studios project, supported by earlier funding from us, was a major casualty for obvious reasons. Some other activities have minimised impact by increasing their online presence: Kingskettle was cited as an example with their community plant sales.
Members caught up on their social activities and news, VE-Day celebrations figuring significantly with anecdotes about social distancing.
