This evening's talk was a family affair.
Gary Henderson, son of club member Bob, gave an insight into the family's passion for Motor Bike racing.
Also present and supporting the family was Gary's own son, Aaron.
All are enthusiastic riders themselves, but it is their support of the 'North West' motor-cycle race in Northern Ireland that was the subject of Gary's talk.
Gary briefly outlined the history of the week-long event, its huge attendances of over 150,000 spectators and the impact it has on the local communities.
The speeds attained and the risks taken by the riders along with the renowned scenery of the area all create a memorable and exciting spectacle.
As this 'race meet' is immediately before the perhaps more widely known Isle of Man TT Races The 'North West' attracts the world's best riders.
The easy accessibility to the race 'fans' at the event was also noted by Gary.
Travelling to the event has become a tradition over the past 12 years for the Henderson family.
They look forward keenly to attending and are busy planning for their next trip in May.
Do you have an idea that would make things better for the people in your community? Are you prepared to do something about it? Need some help to make it happen?
