Weekly meeting

Stephen Kirkcam from the Rotary Club of Kinross addressed us on 22^nd July. His talk entitled “ A tale of two hearts” was a personal story of his life leading up to a Heart Transplant in 2015. A long and distinguished career as a soldier was followed by period as a Vicar in the Church England before he suffered a viral infection that affected his heart. Eventually, after a long period of decline, the only remedy was a complete heart transplant. Now 5 years on he has made a remarkable recovery and channels his energy into supporting various transplant organisations, and especially the recent Scottish Bill encouraging people to donate their organs on death.
