Members, spouses and friends were privileged to attend an outstanding evening of traditional food and entertainment at our Burns Night.

Our organiser, Robin Rippin, introduced the Great Chieftain to the company, as it was fiddled into the function room by Lesley Thompson. Scottish Troubadour Bruce Davies delivered  a powerful address and kept us on track with anecdote and song throughout a wonderful evening.

Sandy Green ensured that we remained focussed on why we were foregathered, with a thought-provoking Immortal Memory, but also one that kept a smile on faces. Jacik Blair gave a dramatic presentation of how not to conduct ourselves with a vivid tableau of Holy Willie's Prayer.

By the time Auld Lang Syne came round we all felt that we had celebrated our National Bard in some considerable style.
