John Kerr is tonight's speaker. A retired medical practitioner, John will provide us with an insight into this disease that, in the not too distant past, was prevalent in many of our communities.

John Kerr will give a brief resume of the PolioPlus 30-year campaign and is also referencing the UK's experience of the disease.
John's father was a Medical Officer in the Lothians during the UK's last outbreak in the 50s and many locally will still remember the stress of that time.
