The concert began with President David introducing the Wakefield Orchestral Wind to a near full St. Thomas Church.
Orchestral leader John Thompson started part 1 of the evening concert with vocalist Claire Helm
introducing WW2 themed music
.A break for refreshments, tea coffee and biscuits with Ian and Joanna encouraging Raffle ticket sales.
The generous Raffle prizes were donated by Tesco, a big thanks to them.
The second part of the Concert followed with the rousing Last night of the Proms popular music,
Sea shanties, Jerusalem and many more.
The Raffle was drawn and President David thanked John Thompson and the vocalist Claire Helm.
Claire was presented with a bouquet of flowers.
President thanked all for supporting the Concert and announced that the Raffle had made £576 pounds and the
concert entrance £960 giving an overall profit to Alzheimer Research UK of £1536.

This sum was increased has members of the Orchestral and Vocalist Clair Helm did not charge a fee bringing the total profit to £1868.79

David thanked Rotary organisers for their work , Nigel, Jeremy, Paul and refreshment team Margaret and Kathryn with Helen and Colin on the door.
