Race Night

Rotary Club of Birstall Luddites
Annual Fund Raising Race Night.

On Thursday 18th April at the Birstall Irish Democratic league club, Birstall Luddites held a Race Night fundraising event to raise funds for The Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Organised by Rotarian Ian Blamires 102 tickets were sold. Together with Race and Horse sponsorship
Ian gathered the sponsorship from Rotarians and friends, Birstall in Bloom and local businesses in Birstall.
Between the 6 races a "Shaun" supper of meat pie and mushy peas was enjoyed by all.
A raffle ,telephone "ring it to win it" call together with the sponsorship raised a grand total of £1291,
the raffle making £290. The Club have raised the total amount raised to £1500.
