Soup Sandwiches and crisps,
Tea / Coffee and biscuits from Carol.
£15 including wine raffle ticket.
Led by Past DG Robert Jackson.

Rotary Club of Birstall Luddites
Frugal Meal to support End Polio Now.

On Mon 4th Sept Luddites, partners and friends 35 in total gathered to support
Past DG Robert Jackson's annual fund raising evening to raise funds for End Polio Now.

The Frugal Meal was very kindly made and supplied by Carol Parkinson with Rotarians

Jeremy, Paul and Katheryn on kitchen duties.

The menu of soup, sandwiches, and biscuits with tea and coffee followed.

Robert talked about the world-wide Polio rates in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Robert then Introduced the evening's musical entertainment
the SPEN VALLEY SYNCOPATORS
(Ukuleley Band)
A singsong of popular songs was enjoyed to the Ukuleley band music.
The band kindly donated their fee to the End Polio band fund.

The raffle was then drawn, Robert announcing a £130 profit and the wine raffle prize was won by Christine.
The evening made £600 multiplied by 2 Bill Gates multiplier.
