Coffee Morning for Rotakids.

On Sat 25th March Rotarians and friends together with our local MP Kim Leadbeater, held a coffee morning
to raise funds for Rotakids and Interact. Photos show full rooms at the Community Centre.
Also attending were 1040 District Governor Malcolm Tagg and District Governor Elect David Phillips.
The event ran stalls for bring and buy, a book stall, cakes and sweet stall, raffle and tea and coffee.

Birstall Luddite Pat Taylor is the club (and District) organiser for the schools in Batley and Birstall who run the
RotaKids clubs.
Pat organises the RotaKids project at the schools ,she goes to the school meetings to help the children with their tasks.

Message from MP Kim,
"Many thanks to Birstall Rotary Luddites for the warm welcome at their Coffee Morning today at Birstall Community Centre. Great to see so many people supporting the excellent work they do ".

From Jeremys Birstall Luddite Facebook site:-
"We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our coffee morning at Birstall Community Centre yesterday; to all those who looked after stalls, donated prizes and, of course, served the coffee but especially those who spent their hard earned cash! Special thanks to the Birstall Community Centre for allowing us to use their facilities and to Fox's Biscuits for their kind donation. The event raised over £450 which helps the development of our RotaKids
clubs and the charities they support."

Big thanks to all the helpers who helped to raise over £480 for RotaKids.
Especially Keith and Edith who with Pat ran the event.
