Birstall Luddites Rotary Club
End of Year BBQ and Handover.
On Sunday 3rd July Luddites and friends gathered for a BBQ to celebrate the end of
President Nigels year in office and the Presidens Handover.
During the BBQ Nigel handed the chains of office to new incoming President Steve.
Steve gave an outline of his new year and Nigel thanked all for their work through his year in office
which led the club out of covid epidemic and back to face to face meetings.
He talked of the problems finding a venue for the clubs meeting and the present venue at
Batley Community Center.
An enjoyable BBQ with very good steak, burgers and sausage from Nigels BBQ plus
puddings supplied by Luddite ladies ensured a good
Rotary social get together.
The weather just managed to stay dry.
