Sponsored Walk for Alzheimer's Research UK

Monday 10th August Rotarian David Reeper (RC Leeds) came to the club to talk about the
Leeds Rotary Clubs fund raising walk which is to take place at Temple Newsom Park LS15 0AE on Sunday the 6th September to raise funds for
Alzheimer's Research UK .
The walk is organised by 7 Leeds Rotary Clubs 
The event Registration starts at 11am and the walk starts at 12 noon. The walk is either 2.5K, 5 K, or 10K.

David talked about how Dementia affects millions of families across the UK. While progress has been made, there is still no cure but together this walk can help bring promising research closer to reality.
He said there may  be a breakthrough of a very early diagnosis with a blood test if taken before symptoms show.
The aim of the walk this year is to raise £44k for Alzheimer's Research UK.
