Club Speaker RTN Peter Woodhead
On August 17th Peter, a Rotarian from RC of Headingley visited the club and gave a talk about his life in sport and his day to Remember Never to be Forgotten when he refereed a Rugby League game at Wembley.
Peter talked about taking school football and then school rugby league matches as a school teacher.
With stories about going to Sheffield United as a child and he showed a video of the Wembley game showing young Kevin Sinfield and Rob Burrows.
The game he refereed featured a Dewsbury and Batley team.
Peter's talk was very well received and enjoyed. President Nigel thanked Peter for his visit.
Below Peter has the rugby ball from his Wembley game which is signed by the team players.
