The dinner at Great Hadham Golf & Country Club on Saturday 24 February, was a celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Bishop's Stortford High School Interact Club, their achievements in promoting charitable causes the world over, and the £12,000 they have raised this year and donated to various charities.
The speaker was David Maidment of the Railway Children charity. Members of The Rotary Clubs of Bishop's Stortford and Harlow Tye, and the Hockerill Anglo European Interact Club also attended.
The Railway Children helps runaway and abandoned children who live in and around the world's railway stations. Working through partner organisations, the charity offers shelter, healthcare, education, training, protection and, above all, friendship.
