On Wednesday 1st September members were pleased to welcome 1100 Youth Lead and her husband Alan who came along as her Technical Assistant who was also keen to learn more about Rotary.
Anne explained that she is Area 6 Assistant Governor, District Youth Link and District Governor Nominee.
An interesting and informative Power Point presentation followed explaining the various competitions including Young Chef, Young Writer – subject the environment, Art competitions and RYLA which could also involve the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Anne is keen to get the Primary schools involved especially with the Young Writer and the environment and the Art competition – subject “Colours of Nature”.
DBS and Safeguarding was also commented on and a number of booklets and leaflets were available for members to take for review at home.
