This year's Technology Tournament took place on the 7th March 2024 at Ashlyns School. The event is run joinly with our Berkhamsted Club.
Secondary Schools in Dacorum are invited to enter teams of four students who must design and build a model from a kit provided. The model this year was to make an electronic vehicle to sit on a cable to carry a ShelterBox across a deep river where crocodiles lurk!
The teams complete in three age groups - Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced. This year a record number of teams took part from 10 schools in the main hall at Ashlyns School, Berkhamsted.
The schools involved were The Adeyfield Academy, Ashlyns School, Astley Cooper School, Berkhamsted School, The Hemel Hempstead School, John F Kennedy Catholic School, Kings Langley School, Longdean School, Westbrook Hay School and Tring School.
This years winners: Foundation - Westbrook Hay, Intermediate - Adeyfield Academy, Advanced - John F Kennedy Catholic School with the team prize going to Longdean.
The winning team in each age group receives a shield, and each team member a £40.00 voucher.
