Rotary Technology Tounaments are a challenging and enjoyable way for young people to enrich their STEM learning. Held at Crown Hills Community College in June, this was our first venture and we were pleased to welcome six teams from three schools in Leicestershire. The schools taking part were The Castle Rock School in Coalville, The Winstanley School in Braunstone Town and our host school Crown Hills Community College in Leicester.
The challenge was to design, build and test a model space capsule launcher. The winning teams in both the Intermediate and Foundation categories were from Castle Rock.
We all had so much fun, we are already planning next year's event.
