Memory Cafe

Our monthly Memory Cafe has been running for over 10 years and takes place on the second Tuesday of each month at The Barnabas Centre in Oadby.

The Cafe is for people with dementia and their carers to come along and take part in various activities including crafts, games, puzzles and reminiscing. Run primarily by Club members, we also invite outside organisations such as Leicester Musical Memory Box, Culture to You and Curve Theatre to provide activities for our members to enjoy. 

In addition to the monthly Cafe we have had other activities such as:

- an annual canal boat trip including a pub lunch with Peter Le Marchant  Trust 

- afternoon tea at Launde Abbey

- Curve Theatre foyer cabarets

- a visit to Stoneygate Tram Depot with bus rides on vintage Leicester Transport and Midland Red buses.
