Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Roger Neuberg has returned from Uganda, where he oversaw the commissioning of 32 motorbike ambulances which he had spent three years working for.
Mr Neuberg, who joined the Rotary Club of Oadby in 2007, quickly became chairman of the International Service Committee serving the 87 clubs in the east Midlands district.
In the spring of 2011 Mr Neuberg launched the Uganda e-Ranger Project at the District 1070 Assembly under the banner
