The charity began in 2021 as a passionate project of the Rotary E-Club of District 1070. That is a club whose members meet by electronic methods, such as zoom or social media, rather than in person. District 1070 includes Market Harborough.
The rotarians in Market Harborough agreed to support the charity soon after it started and have contributed each year since 2022. The coats are offered to local schools who identify suitable children to receive a coat, and the school gives a confidential voucher, for a new coat, to the parent or guardian.
At Coats4Kids, a dedicated team of Trustees, all Rotarians, share a common goal – to extend a helping hand to those in need. They adhere to the high standards and ethics of the Rotary movement, ensuring that every aspect of their work is based on integrity and compassion.
The mission of Coats4Kids is to provide over 1,000,000 children, currently living in poverty in the UK, with the warmth and security of a brand-new winter coat. If you, or your group, would like to contribute, please go to coats4kids.org.uk.
