Eleven collectors were in the town on Saturday September 12th, including outside Sainsburys, and outside Waitrose. There were also collecting tins in Louisa’s Place, in St Dionysius church, at Himahemp Nepalese market stall and Just so Italian restaurant.

President of the Rotary Club, Christine Pierce said “The cataclysmic events in Nepal shocked us into action. What could we do? Fortunately, there was an obvious answer: support ShelterBox which is already there on the ground, distributing tents, equipment, water purification tablets, bedding, tools, whatever is needed, to those who have been made homeless. Thank you to the generous people of Market Harborough who contributed over £700 to our appeal and enabled us to help with that relief work.”
