Chris Dowse - Offa's Dyke Walk

Mon, Jun 5th 2023 at 9:30 am- Fri, Jun 23rd 2023 - 4:30 pm

Part One of Chris's 1,077 mile trek around Wales, raising money for Blood Cancer UK - his target is £10,770 or £10 per mile!
By 24th June, he had already raised 40% of this target - and he still had until mid-October to complete the full walk!

On Tuesday June 20th, Chris reported: "The walk is progressing and I expect to reach Prestatyn on Friday. Unfortunately Chris was not feeling 100% the other day and I was unable to walk that day or make it up the next one which was my day off. That was not a problem per se as I had a spare day ie this coming Friday anyway which I will now have to use to walk.

The result of this is that we will not start our return journey home until Saturday."

On Friday June 23rd, Chris's next report confirmed that he had completed the Offa's Dyke walk - 177 miles (285km) from Chepstow.and would be returning to Comrie the following day.  By 8pm on Saturday 24th, donations to his Just Giving page had reached £4,356 or 40% of his hoped-for total once he resumes his quest when he tackles the Wales Coast Path from Chester to Chepstow in a few weeks' time.
