This year's event was held on Thursday, 11th March in Academy Hall where for the first time all seven local primary schools competed for the Ross Bell & Co. Crieff Rotary Club Primary School trophy. Teams from Ardvreck, Comrie Primary, Crieff Primary, Madderty Primary, Muthill Primary, Morrisons Academy and St. Dominics brought family, teachers and supporters to witness an exciting and enjoyable quiz, once again compered by quiz master and President Willie Bell. After 10 rounds of 6 questions and some blank expressions (from the audience ) Morrisons Academy emerged victorious, narrowly pipping Crieff Primary and Muthill Primary who tied for second place.
The winning team made up of Ross Healy, May Appleby, Elliot Paterson and Rebecca Dye received the trophy, certificates and books on stories from Malawi, by local author Magdalene Sacrani.
Mr Alasdair Robertson, Head of Primary at Morrisons Academy thanked Crieff Rotary Club for once again organising the event.
To close the evening President Willie Bell thanked Alasdair Robertson for his assistance and Morrisons Academy for providing the use of Academy Hall and the half time tea & biscuits.
Ross, May, Elliot and Rebecca will now go on to represent Morrisons Academy and Crieff Rotary Club at the Zone 7 final on Saturday 24th April 2010 at Alva Academy. We wish them the best of luck!
