RYLA CAMPS – 2026
Club members were delighted to welcome back the candidates who took part in this year’s Rotary ‘RYLA’ Camps held at the beginning of July at the Abernethy outward bound Centre situated close to Nethybridge.
The Club always aims to send two candidates every year, if possible, and whilst doing so also tries to provide participants for both the boys and girls camps. Happily, this year as well as providing its usual two candidates (Amelia & Alick), the Club was also able to provide some additional funds, which with further assistance from Inverness Riverside Rotary, allowed a further candidate (Ciara) to participate.
This year’s feedback from the participants was no different from any other year in that it was made clear attendance at the Camp had been a wonderful experience for them and that they had learnt a good deal about Leadership, Teamwork and effective Communication gaining confidence for their future and making new friends for life. President Lennie praised them highly after their Presentation for all the hard work they had clearly put into providing members with an insight as to their time at the respective camps and how valuable the experience had been for them.
We wish our candidates ‘All The Best’ as they make their respective journeys through life.
