Lawn bowling challenge and BBQ

Tue, Jul 14th 2026 at 6:00 pm - 9:15 pm

Our annual challenge against Crieff Round Table at Comrie Bowling Club, followed by a BBQ at the Deil's Cauldron restaurant.

As always seems to be the case (and hopefully will continue to be) those in attendance at this event were lucky enough to experience a beautiful sunny evening in Comrie at the annual Bowls challenge and BBQ.  Unfortunately, Rotarian bowlers were rather scarce this year but did manage to 'hold their own'.  However, Round Table was able to swell the numbers of those participating in the competitive part of the evening.  Two rinks were made up and then spent a very enjoyable evening in competition with each other during which a good deal of fun was had by all.  Thanks go, once again, to Comrie Bowling Club for allowing us the use of its facilities.

Following on from the competitive element of the evening everyone then retired to The Diel's Cauldron where Brian and Katy did their usual and served up a very tasty BBQ and a fantastic spread for all to enjoy.  At the close of the social part of the evening organiser, Rotarian Jim summarised the outcome of the bowls and distributed one or two prizes with Round Table Chair, Graeme responding with a Vote of Thanks.

Fingers crossed for another sunny evening in 2027.
