This week, we were privileged to welcome 97 year old Bernard Bailey as our guest speaker, who gave us a compelling talk about his first-hand experiences as a RAF navigator, flying Halifax bombers in the Second World War.
Bernard flew a remarkable 51 missions on active service, which included surviving a near-fatal crash landing in Italy on 7 June 1944!Bernard was accompanied by his wife, Margaret, 94 years old this week!
A truly remarkable couple !
