Big Space - Good News and a Request

We are delighted to let you know that the planning application for the Big Space new build is now live and open for public consultation, and the planning application can be found here

The application is huge - there are 46 different documents - if you simply want to see what it is going to look like, please open the attached document with CGI images for the latest artist's impressions - it looks amazing!

As the next step, the Hospital Charity has prepared documents to support the application: a toolkit and two pro-forma letters of support which are attached. The letter has two versions: one that allows for additional comments, such as from a service user or family member, and the other just needs to be topped and tailed with the sender's details.

Anyone can comment on the planning application; you don’t need to be a resident of Cheltenham to do so. These letters act as a proxy petition; normally they are used to object, but we are flipping that to show support.

Please send in a letter of support before 6th May 2026, and help to demonstrate the wide-spread support of this project, using one of the two proformas below:
