At the end of each Rotary year (1st July – 30th June) we make difficult decisions and donate all of the funds raised during the year to various charities. We occasionally make donations during the course of the year and sometimes we apply for grants to help various projects. In the Rotary year that ended on 30th June we donated to over 24 charities.
This autumn we held the Five Valleys Fireworks which is one of the largest (and definitely the best, in our view) displays in the county, and is held on the Marling School Playing Field. This event is organized together with Stroud Rotary and Stonehouse Rotary, is our biggest fundraiser each year and involves over 100 volunteers. If you haven’t seen it make sure you put it on your calendar for 2025.
Here are some of the charities which have received funds from us this year. These funds can make a huge difference - and it's all down to you. Thank you from us - and from all those who have benefitted from your fabulous donations.
