Rotary Aberdeen Deeside (RAD) are pleased to announce that their Charity Art Event will be held again this year after a two year lapse due to Covid. This year’s artist is John O’Neill who will paint a picture (or two) before your very eyes, answering questions from the audience on the way. The picture(s) will be auctioned at the end of the event with proceeds going to Befriend a Child and other charities nominated by RAD.
The event will be on Sunday 2nd Oct at 2pm at The Marcliffe Hotel & Spa, Pitfodels, Aberdeen.

Further examples of the artist’s work will be on sale in the gallery. The Marcliffe will operate a cash bar including, tea, coffee, and biscuits before the event and during the interval.
John O’Neill
Based in Milltimber Aberdeen, John O’Neill is a lifelong painter working mainly in oil and watercolour and paints a variety of subjects, mainly landscape and urban scenes. John is a member of the Society of Scottish Artists and the Aberdeen Artists Society. He has exhibited in Aberdeen Art Gallery and with the Royal Society of Oil Painters (ROI) in Trafalgar Square. A winner of the TALP competition in 2021 and 22. John won his wildcard heat in Sky. Landscape Artist of the Year in 2019, appeared again in 2020 and was a main competitor in 2022.
His paintings are in collections world-wide, and he is represented by Gallery Heinzel Aberdeen, Eion Stewart Stonehaven, Fittleworth Gallery Sussex and Vedhol- men Galleri in Bergen, Norway.
