We are a group of 37 men and women always busy working in the Community and fund raising to provide help for local charities. You can see the range of our activities further within this website.
We are always looking for new volunteers from all walks of life to help us with our activities. You do not have to join Rotary to help out but we hope you might consider joining once you see our organisation in practice.
We meet at the Deeside Golf Club, Bieldside on Wednesdays at 18.45 and on Zoom at 19.30. If you would like details of joining a Zoom session please contact our Secretary Ewen Hatchwell at secretary@deeside.rotary1010.org. .
If you like what you see here and would like further information on joining Rotary please read below and /or contact our secretary Ewen Hatchwell.at secretary@deeside.rotary1010.org. .
Benefits of Membership
Rotary is one of the world’s largest and most successful global
membership and humanitarian service organisations, with 1.2 million
members in 35,000 clubs in over 200 countries.
Through membership of a Rotary club, indiviuduals volunteer their
time by uniting together to deliver projects in communities at home and
overseas. Rotary gives you the platform to turn your ideas and passion
for change into action, develop your skills and build lasting
relationships.
Friendship
In an increasingly complex world, Rotary maintains a simple
philosophy - make friends in your own community and throughout the
world.
Giving back to the community
Through Rotary, service to local and overseas communities is well
organised and rewarding. If you like helping others, here is your chance
to do something worthwhile and make a real difference.
Fun and entertainment
Rotary is fun... a lot of fun. Every Rotary club and district
arranges parties and activities that provide a welcome distraction to a
hectic business life.
Business development
Networking opportunities are endless. Rotary consists of a
cross-section from every business community and its members come from
all walks of life. Rotarians help each other and collectively help
others.
Personal growth and development
Membership of Rotary develops leadership, public speaking, social,
business, personal and vocational skills as well as improving cultural
awareness.
Continued learning
Clubs organise programmes and weekly meetings to keep members
informed about what is going on in the community, the country, and the
world. Each meeting provides an opportunity to listen to different
speakers on a variety of current topics.
Travel opportunities
Every Rotarian is welcome - even encouraged - to attend any of the
29,000 clubs in 194 nations and geographical regions. This bond creates
an instant friendship wherever you are in the world. Many a Rotarian in
need of a local doctor, lawyer, hotel, dentist, or other expertise
while travelling has found assistance through Rotary.
Corporate membership
Corporate membership gives you and your staff all the benefits of
being a Rotarian and being part of a local and international
organisation;
• Provides self-development opportunities
• Develops links with your local community
• Provides an outlet to do something extra
• Helps you meet your corporate social responsibility objectives
• Keeps staff morale high by offering more than a great job
