Club President Pam Sheemar completed a 24 hour sponsored silence which has done some good in our local community.
The money raised has provided 2 trolleys of much needed supplies for the Ablewell Advice Centre and Food Bank in Central Walsall. Rushall Care Home received funds to assist with their Annual Summer Fete which this year has a Glastonbury Theme. One of the clubs key environmental projects is supporting the Paddock Active Climate Change Group and the Canal and River Trust to upgrade the access to towpaths and the general environment along a 2 mile mile stretch of the Rushall Canal in Walsall. We have already planted a linear orchard with funds matched by The Rotary Foundation. Our to upgrade the access from Walsall Arboretum Extention to the canal tow path to give much needed accessibilty to disabled and residents with mobility issues. The Rotary Foundation in Rotary's only charity and provided clubs across the World with funding for a wide range of project both in their local community and overseas. Some of the money raised has gone to The Foundation for club projects. Walsall Saddlers has undertaken many local and overseas projects which have benfitted from grants from the Rotary Foundation.
