30th Charter Celebrations

Our founder members and partners got together for a celebration of 30 years of membership
We celebrated our 30th Charter on 4th March with a dinner at Willesley Park Golf Club. Our guest of Honour was Councillor Liz Parle - Mayoress of Ashby de la Zouch.
The event was well attended with guests from several Rotary clubs in our district, Lions and representatives of various charities we have enjoyed working with and supporting.
Founder members of our club were honoured with presentations of certificates in recognition of the 30 years of club membership. We were proud to see club member and District Governor Chris Knight presented with his Paul Harris Sapphire Award for outstanding service to Rotary.
After dinner, guests were well entertained by President Margaret Hawksworth's amusing and informative presentation, 'Surviving Antarctica Adventures,' in which she gave an account of her recent trip to Antarctica and demonstrated how to dress for the occasion.
