Ashby Santa Fun Run & Walk - 10th Anniversary

This year's chosen charities, which will benefit from the monies raised, are Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, Staunton Harold Sailability Trust, and LOROS Hospice. All three charities do fantastic work to help local people in need. Find out more about each charity at www.ashbysantarun.com/charities.

Entrants are encouraged to collect personal sponsorship to participate, as every penny raised will help, but this is not essential. A downloadable sponsor form is available on the event website.

As always, the event begins and ends at Ashby Bath Grounds with Christmas music and, of course, the 'real' Rotary Santa and his sleigh. The fun starts at 10:45 a.m. with a warm-up routine to some Christmas songs before the event formally begins at 11 a.m. Post-fun refreshments will be available at Ashby Hastings Cricket Club.

You can register online now at ashbysantarun.com/sign-up. Entry remains at just £7 per person for all age groups. Discounts are available for groups of 4 or more. All entrants will receive the 2024 event medal, and a chocolate bar will be given to every child who completes the fun run.

On the day, please dress up in your brightest Christmas gear, whether that's a Santa suit, Christmas jumper, reindeer suit, or anything else that shouts Christmas. This year, the fancy dress competition returns with fantastic prizes for the best festive-dressed boys, girls, women, and dogs. Judging starts at 10:30 a.m. on the day.

Once entered, you must collect your entry numbers from the Rotary Club stall outside Boots on Market Street on Saturday, November 16th, 23rd, or 30th.
