Annual Community Grants

Annually we raise money through a number of events namely Classic car Show and Xmas collections to fund our Charitable Trust which in turn funds local Charities/Groups.

Doncaster St. George’s Rotary Club is committed to improving Doncaster’s community, we are problem solvers, opportunity creators and change makers. Making a difference by raising money through Rotary Club of Doncaster St George’s Charitable Trust fund, for ongoing distribution to other local charities/groups via our Community Grants Scheme or to wider charitable endeavours.

The scheme has now been in existence for over 15 years and throughout that time we have managed to support a wide range of local charities and community groups with various grants, some examples of which are:

• Supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable young people.

• Isolated and lonely elderly residents.

• Doncaster Samaritans.

• Various Scout, Guide, Brownie and Cub groups.

• Young peoples sports teams.

• Support groups for adults and children with both mental and physical disability and long-term conditions.

• Support also provided for work in community libraries. • Helped volunteers to enhance their local environment.
