Members of the club and some of their partners answered the call from Rtn Simon Crowther to help repaint the Cellar Cafe in Crown Court Godalming.
Simon is a Trustee responsible for the Cellar Cafe, a place where the less privileged residents of this area can drop in for something to eat or drink each day. It is a very important community facility which is run by a charitable trust and the time had come to brighten it up with a new coat of paint.
Afterwards, Simon expressed his delight with the work done saying "What a really good job you did – my sincere thanks to Bill and David M for Tuesday and to Ian C, Cath, Tony, Mike S (and to Joan) and to Sandy as well... The Cellar is immaculate.
Opportunities like this – like getting stuck into a refurbishment programme – working as a team – is all part of what Rotary does best – truly an excellent example of ‘Community Service’ – makes me feel really proud of what a great club we have."
